He was reluctant to open it's wing so I can't see if yellow rich tergites margin. Male doesn't have the Y mark between the eyes for comparison. So it is still possible to ID or this case is closed? Edited by zcuc on 23-02-2008 18:50 |

Pics are not very sharp. Genitalia look large (clear bulb even from this angle = corollae). Scutellum yellow-haired (= corollae/latifasciatus). Postocular orbit small near vertex [the yellow strip behind the eyes, seen from the side] (instead of broad in latifasciatus). South-European latifasciatus can have 'sunglass-like' spots on abdomen too, but these don't or hardly reach sidemargin on T2 and 3. Also I think to see a curve near the apex of the anal vein. |
