Hi, It is easy to recognize a Sepsid, but within the family there are many similar taxa (at least if the camera can't get close enough to show details.  ) Is the long, narrow wing spot, together with the coppery shine of the abdomen, decisive? Is it a Sepsis at all? The pics were taken on the Baltic Island of Usedom in August. Thanks for help, Sundew |

It is Sepsis and I can at least say it is not fulgens and not punctum.
