This is a very fresh specimen with the colours still not fully developed. The differences in the shade of the colours are without taxonomic meaning. Regards, Dieter |

Maybe laymen like me lay too much weight in colours and other easily visible attributes... But after hundreds of white marked Scaeva pyrastri I was happy, when I found my first S. selenitica here.
