Hi, I saw this wasp on 5-May-2008 in southern England flying around last year's Robin's Pincushion Galls (Diplolepis rosae). Is it safe to call them Orthopelma mediator or are there other ichneumonoid parasitoids of these galls? |

Dear Camille, because it is from Diplolepis rosae it is almost certainly Orthopelma mediator. Best wishes, Kees Zwakhals cthirion |

Thanks! I always see these and say "Oh, an Orthopelma mediator!" ... so it's nice to know I haven't been wrong all these years! ![]() |
