It's a Coenagrionidae, but not Enallagma cyathigerum. Besides, this looks like a young male to me. Do you have a clear view at the back of the head and S2? Is it a German Odonata? |

Thank you very much. I have a book where all - or the most - german damselflies are displayed but i wasn't able to detect differences except colors and patterns. When translating this species name from german its something like Horseshoe-Damselfly. What was the indication for this species as i haven't found a pattern which looks like a horseshoe :-)

The shape of the figure on S2 is important, it can be a determinating factor. The line pattern on the chest and the back of the head are also important. The horseshoe is the figure on S2, it looks like [_]. |
