Hello Fly-forum, This little fly was floating on the surface of a lake. With some wind it was sailing over the water. Is it a Sciaridae specie? greetings, Robert |

I think this is a gall midge (Cecidomyiidae).

Thank you Paul, I never heard of them, but some of them are useful in the fight against Therodiplosis and Aphididae (I read). Nice to know, I have learned some of 'a little fly' today! ![]() greetings, Robert |
