Hello!

What fly is this?

I think, it is Rhingia campestris, but I am not very sure.

Looks like it yes. A locality would be useful for us, so we can rule out any other possibilities (LoL, maybe you are in South America and who knows what might fly around there with similar looks as R. campestris).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
