Pictures taken on May 05, 2006, Naro-Fominsk, Moscow region, Russia. Size 4-5mm as far as I can remember. Wet habitat, partially still covered with water from melted snow, but it's marshy throughout the year. |

Paul, according Diptera of European part of Russia it has to be D. nebulosa = (d. ornata), but not D. adusta = (D. unipunctata). What fail, your memory or my few expirience? Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

Hi, I would go for Diastata nebulosa althoug it is a bit difficult to see all details of the wings. According to www.faunaeur.org (http://www.faunae...p?id=60330) D. nebulosa and D. ornata are both valid species! Jan Willem Edited by Jan Willem on 10-05-2006 16:31 |
