Lindneromyia dorsalis?

Member Location: Posts: 751 Joined: 17.10.06	Could it be this time a male of Lindneromyia dorsalis? The both sexes were near by. Has anyone documented mating in Platypezidae? Should be interresting! very general entomologist

Member Location: Posts: 237 Joined: 07.11.06	I think, it's more likely Kesselimyia chandleri, need to see the wing venation, but the bicolored eye is good character. K. chandleri larvae lives between the gills of common fungus Macrolepiota procera, notwithstanding the animal is often overlooked. Member Location: Posts: 60 Joined: 23.11.21	Kesselimyia chandleri :1. in Poland this species does not occur. 2. the details of the foreheads and wings are not visible. In my opinion, this is a wrong identifications.
