Jetzt bin ich mir nicht mehr sicher... Looking better at the first picture, the hind tibia looks a bit S-curved. If that is correct, this could be B. chrysites or valgus and not laphriformis. Did you collect it? Edited by Andre on 09-11-2008 16:33 |

Beautiful pictures, but I can not make a 100% solid ID from these pics. If it was not near a stream or a little river, we can carefully scratch valgus. I am not familiar with the habitat of chrysites. If you want, you can place the 3 great pics in the Syrphidae gallery as Brachypalpus sp., maybe in the future somebody has the guts to make a solid ID |
