These images were taken at the end of November in Cairo, Egypt on the edge of the Nile.

The plant, [i]Alhagi graecorum.[i] is a native most often found in arid areas and attracts numerous species of insecta.

This is not a fly (Diptera) but a bee/wasp (Hymenoptera). If you don't get any ID here you can try www.forum.hymis.d...

Thanks for the link its proving very helpful as insecta is a new hobby and I have loads of unidentified pix!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
