Syrphid with Red Abdomen

A nice early Spring Syrphid. I never saw this species with the red abdomen before. Can anyone help with the ID?

I wish the photographs were sharper but I wasn't able to get close and two photos were all my subject would allow.

Xylotini, maybe Xylota sp. itself. Wait for some USofA-specialists.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
