Hi! First time for me here. A friend of mine has found yesterday this Diptera. Could you help me to find what it is ? It has been found near a small river, on grass. Alt. : 600m, France - Lozčre (48) Yannick Mourgues Edited by Mourgues on 15-06-2009 21:17 |

Firstly, welcome to the group! ![]() Your fly is from the family Empididae - Paul will say more, I am sure. Also, you will get better results if you say more than "ID" in the title ![]() ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

Yes, you can change your own posts after submitting them - just use the "Edit" button ![]() Posters tend to change/update their thread titles as and when they get an identification. The more accurate the title is, the better it will attract the expert in that group ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |
