Found this little female Platycheirus on Iceland Poppy in the garden this morning...never seen one as black as this before...Anyone know what it is??? |

Though the light is strange... abdomen seems very dark.. I'd make a female P. albimanus of this one... And then I realise... it looks like an intersexe. Look at the tibia/tarsae... they look like they are from a male. And also the tip of the abdomen looks a bit like it is deformed. Edited by Andre on 05-07-2009 22:01 |
