This tiny fly was between 3-4 mm long. Sorry about the quality of the photo, there are limitations of my equipment when it comes to that small subjects. Is it possibe to id? and maybe the victim too? ![]() Edited by cyprinoid on 08-02-2010 13:07 |

I'm pretty sure this isn't Asilidae but an Empididae or Hybotidae. I don't think any Asilids have holoptic eyes for one thing, also that thoracic humps recalls Hybotidae. Tim |
