Thanks Gerard / Roger and Andre!
Thank you all for the competition :-) which was ending in ID's for my Syrphidae - I was reading with "a big smile" in my face!

Andre: Yes, we do have good weather! I do have pics from:
20.09.09 : Volucella zonaria
29.09.09 : Rhingia campestris
23.09.09 : Xylota segnis

I'm wondering how long they could be seen.

Each day I see and have a lot of pics:
Helophilus trivittatus / Episyrphus balteatus / Myathropa florea / Syritta pipiens / Eristalis sp.
and today a Xylota sp. too.

Adding some pics only for pleasure (hoping that's ok ???)

Best Regards, Brigitte

Competition: thought as "competition" looking the time when the answers went up . . . :-)
should not be any valuation :-)

@ Andre : Thanks vor Eristalis tenax! And thanks for confimation the ID's.
I still have a lot of Eristalis pics without ID from summer. Afterwards I took less pictures of Eristalis realising that they are not easy for ID.
I'am too "shy" to put all my Eristalis here for ID. But if there is no problem for you, I would be happy to put them in here for ID. Would that be accepted?

@ Gerard and Roger: If translation is right and understanding right. my pic shows not Rhingia campestris it shows Rhingia rostrata? In the Gallery I saw now a little difference. So I have two diffrent Rhingias? Beautiful :-)
Thank you for looking so accurate and the correction!

Best Regards and Thanks, Brigitte

Andre
That would be accepted, but to save space you could post maybe 4 pics per thread?

About the Rhingia: Gerard may or may not be right.
