location: Switzerland, 412 müM, still on my balcony (snow visible on the top of the hills nearby) date: 22.10.09, today size: about 12 mm is it Scaeva selenitica male? The male of this female : http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=7&thread_id=25251 It was a nervous one, no chance for pics with tripod and went off ofter only a few of pics :-( Could anybody adjust or confirm my suggested ID?
