Thank you André ! (I'm still a lucky girl :-) )
I'll try to work through the key . . . from both sides now . . .

Andre
Wish I had the specimen in this case! Really very late in the year!
I am not familiar with some (obscure) alpine species.

Next days will be "warm" days, and if the hoverfly-lady with the black hind legs comes again I'll try to collect her. . . I would be happy to send you an "obscure and late switzerland hoverfly . . ." :-)
Liebe Grüsse, Brigitte

Super! Do you live in the south of Switzerland, that it is still so warm over there??

No, north from the "alpen", but near the "voralpen".

If the wind comes from the south the air is warming up in reason the wind is "running" down the "alpen" at our side. This wind is called "Föhn". If we do have "Föhn" some region and valley do have much "warmer" than normal. Additonally the "Föhn" makes the "distal"-sight very clear. The mountains seems to be much closer :-) We had today 18°C in the afternoon. Not normal weather for november. Some days ago we had several frozen nights and weeeks ago we had snow nearby. My balcony still has some flowers and they come all for this flowers.

I catched 4 diffrent flies for you today on my balcony. I will add pics in some minutes if you want really to get them.
Could you send me please an email with your address?

Kind regards, Brigitte

Andre
In following order: Sc pyrastri, Xanthandrus comtus, Eupeodes sp, Syrphus sp (hairy eyes is torvus, otherwise ribesii/vitripennis (needs a closer look).
I would like the Eupeodes. How did you kill them? Smile Address coming up!

PS: now you've killed the others too, you don't need to throw them away, just send them too.
