I am a bit confused of this about 10 mm long male. I can´t see hairy eyes but perhaps to unsharp picture. Signs on thoraic dorsum seems a bit odd. But it think it is pyrastri anyway? Yes, it's a bit difficult because by the angle we're looking at it it seems to have stripes on the thorax. My best idea would be a male Dasysyrphus pinastri, looking at the spots on the abdomen. Greetings Greetings, Gerard Pennards |

Looking at Bartsch's Swedish Syrphinae volume, this might be D pauxillus, but almost certainly not possible to be certain from a photo.
