Ephydridae
Nikita Vikhrev
Moscow region, 27 july, near pond, 1,5mm.
I think it is female? Costa with spines before break, wings clear, slightly brown, ac - 4 rows, eyes not hairy, face bristles 1+3-4, or - 2-3 forward and back pointed. Only about wings I'm sure.
Hecamedoides glaucellus?

Hi Nikita
Correct subfamily (Gymnomyzinae) and tribe (Discocerinini) but wrong species. Hecamedoides is greyer and has a more pronounced face. (It also has a small proclinate bristle on the front half of the frons, and a ventral spur on the hind tibia.) The two most likely genera are Ditrichophora and Gymnoclasiopa. The facial orbits look to be quite narrow on your specimen, so I think it's Gymnoclasiopa. There are four species recorded from Russia, of which only two occur in Brtiain, so I'm not going to try for a species name! Wink

Thank you Tony.
To tell you truth I'm glad with both result, mine - correct tribe, and yours genus level ID. And with fly collected (this time, for sure, this very fly from photo) there is clear hope for future full ID!
