Can anyone help? I am trying to compile a list of pathogens carried by Musca domestica for my M.Phil dissertation on Epidemics in 18th Century Eastern Sussex but I have not had much luck so far. I started by referring to "The Housefly" by Luther West, but as this was published in 1951 it is somewhat dated. I've also found a little on the web, but trawling through hundreds, literally, of magazine articles for very little result is very unproductive, so if anyone can come up with a list or any good ideas I would be extremely grateful. |

OK Paul, will do. I'm living in France at the moment, but I'll see if Rennes University can get it through the inter-library loan scheme. It will probably take two or three weeks. |

Hi Paul, Have just brought Smith's book home from the library. It seems very good on identification but not very productive for my purposes. It only furnished me with 3 more diseases. At the moment, I'm well short of the 100+ that I have seen mentioned, so if you have any more ideas I'd be grateful. Thanks, Geoff |
