Very strange, very big 9-10 mm, it keyed out as Heleomyzidae, but I am not really sure. Tenerife, Anaga mts, Las Mercedes, 25.II.-25.III. 2010, Beer trap Curator of Diptera, Entomology Department, National Museum Prague. PhD. Student, Charles University. Prague, Czech Republic. |

In the checklist of Canary Islands are only 2 species: Suillia oceana (Palma, Gomera, Tenerife, GC) Suillia setitarsis (Hierro, Palma, Gomera, Tenerife, GC) but I have no clue how do they look like...
