Hi, all this spring I was trying to find Thaumaleidae at the Sebesviz brook in N-E Hungary. After 6 weekends there in this season I managed to find a single specimen! This is the 88th dipterous family for me (when I count according to FaunaEuropaea). It is 4-5 mm long. L. Papp wrote an article on these, he collected hundreds of specimens at 8-10 localities, and in the Bukk moluntains he only found T. bezzii, so this must be T. bezzii also. Question is: male or female?
