It is - I see them frequently at the moment. The yellow markings may be confluent or not, the males often have lateral spots only. But they always look pretty with the golden shinig thorax! |

Many thanks. Yes, I've seen some with different patterns too, which confused me at first and made me think of Eristalis, but this one made me think it was Epistrophe eligans. Good to get a quick confirmation, thanks. Now I'll get some better photos of them!
