Asagena phalerata doesn't occur in my country, so I don't know this spider. In Slovenia there's only A. phalerata in the genus Asagena. The spider is often found near nests of ants. |

According to the Benelux spider distribution maps, it is found in the Netherlands (http://www.tuite....0phalerata)  . We have it here, too. |

How stupid I searched on www.nederlandssoortenregister.nl, which contains all Dutch species for Asagena, but I should change it to Steatoda. I never saw the species because there are no suitable biotopes near to my village |
