Hello, I always thought the pattern on the thorax of Maythropa florea very characteristic. But this fly hat the habitus rather of an Eristalis. What is it? Myathropa nevertheless? In case of doubt, look at the wing venation : Myathropa has an open r1 cell, Eristalis have a closed one (and even short petiolate). Here it is closed, so Ersitalis, plus the four anterior pairs of tarsi which are yellow : that gives Eristalis pertinax. Stephane. |
