Hello to all! Is this Eristalis tenax? The size would fit, but it looks so much different from those I see in my home area. And I can't find the hairy lines on the eyes... Best greetings Rupert |

Not Eristalis, but Myathropa florea. Eristalis have the cell r1 closed.

Thanks a lot for teaching me that, Stephane. Usually I know Myathropa florea, but in this case it was good for me to mix it up with Eristalis.
