Eumerus species? - Tenerife

I photographed these 2 Eumerus individuals in Tenerife last november. They've already been named as (probably) purpureus and I would like to know how they can be separated from the other Canary Island species.
Also I was wondering if anyone has published a Canary Island Syrphidae list?

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
