or it could be Palloptera anderssoni Rotheray & MacGowan, 1999. i see no colour contrast between ppl and mesonotum. Palloptera ustulata Fall?n, 1820 usually has yellowish ppl esp in female. you need a male and examine aedeagus to be sure. |

Hi David, Thanks for your input, but according to 'Checklist of the diptera of the Netherlands' and www.nederlandsesoorten.nl Palloptera anderssoni does not exist in the Netherlands. Though you never know of course.Cheers, Andr |
