Member Location: Posts: 3151 Joined: 27.06.07	I think your first one is a late instar nymph of Dolycoris baccarum, the Sloe Bug. The body does look a little bright but the shapes, and the head do seem to fit, it has a jewel effect on the head. The second one I think is a mid instar nymph of Eurygaster testudinaria the Tortoise Bug. Member Location: Posts: 97 Joined: 29.05.07	I suspect that neither of these nymphs are British species, but can't really help you any further. The first image MIGHT be Piezodorus lituratus if found on or near gorse or broom. Tristan

I had a site in my favourites which lists bugs of Slovenia, I had forgotten about it! This might be of future help..
