a rather strange behaviour in psocids
mwkozlowski
One afternoon (Juli 7 this year, Beskid Mt,PL) I noticed some strange movement on a grass blade. Closer look revealed a procession of several psocopterans progressing quite eager on a blade. I collected all of them in a vial to make a photo at my place. When I opened the vial they were dispersed on the walls. But then I collected nearly all of them on a grass blade. They quickly found each other and at once formed a procession of four which I photograped. They are very characteristic and they look like nymphs. Do you know anybody who can put some light on this strange behaviour? (sp. ID, some suggestions about function of this procession)

No idea!
Sadly, the co-ordinator of the British Psocoptera Recording Scheme, Bob Saville, has died. Keith Alexander is taking over running the scheme, but Bob's knowledge and enthusiam will be greatly missed.
