With a straight median vein it should be a muscid or anthomyid ... certainly not a tachinid ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

Hi, this is for sure the best picture ever taken of the uncommon anthomyiid Chirosia griseifrons. The larva expectedly feed on the fern Athyrium filix-femina, the only fern on which I have observed males aggregating in station-taking behaviour. Verner |
