Helius more likely. If central upper part on the 2 photo is not curved projection but a large spot - then it may be Helius pallirostris |

Gnophomyia inhabit wood and Helius - hydrobiontic. The place of collecting sometimes helps to be sure finally. |

I agree with Cranefly in it being a Helius spec. Too me it has a very typical habitus. A brown larvae with ventral pseudopods and a short dorsal stigmatal lobe. |
