Ulidiidae - Herina frondescentiae
Frank Koehler
Not the best quality, but an alpine species now!? Unfortunally I don?t know the host plant and the specimen enscaped. I found this species again in the Kaunertal (Tirol) at 2700m - but the fly was to fast again. Any ideas? Thank you.

I think so (wrong).
Looks for me like Palloptera.

No need to delete, just hit 'Edit' and change the original post Smile. It is recommended that you update the thread title to correct/best guess identifications anyway to help those who browse the archive at a later date.

Hi Frank,

Indeed the top one is Herina frondescentiae (spelled correctly Kahis!), and the bottom one is a Pallopteridae, thou no idea which species.
