Lets climb on the mountains again - southside of the Gro?glockner: Two species, a single specimen of a larger species and a group of a small species (there have been hundreds of them). Any id possible? Greetings Frank

Hi Frank.
I think first one is Rhamphomia female.

The first two are indeed Rhamphomyia females, possibly R. spinosa. The bottom one is Hilara. For me virtually impossible to identify from pictures, especially from the Alps.

Frank sent some specimens on alcohol. The Rhamphomyia female is R. luridipennis, of the R. albosegmentata group. In the tube was also a male (no picture here) and a damaged male specimen of another species of the same group (for example the genitalia were missing).

Thank you very much Paul!
I have 5 photos of this specimen. It?s possible, that there have been a lot of similar Empididae and I tried to collect a male too. By the way: I suggest to construct more stable flies, which can be collected with a beetle exhaustor Wink
Thanks for the other ids too. Photos for the gallery will be submittet asap.
Best regards
Frank
