This is a rather poor photo, but it's all I have. I found it much too small for Lucilia caesar, but I know there's bunch of green flies. Can anything sensible be said from this photograph? Sorry, initial photo was wrong. Try again. Date: 29 october 2006, Amstelveen in suburban parklandscape. Visiting Ivy. Thanks! I would still say this is Lucilia, they can be very very small. L. caesar should occur in forests, near habitations it is not terribly common. |

I'm working with no specimens available to me, so I'm a bit lost on this one. I think if it was Lucilia, the genae would be narrower (these are at least half the height of an eye), and the marginals on tergite 4 should be stronger.
