It's best to split threads so that you have 1 insect per thread topic ... otherwise this kind of thing can get confusing ![]() The first wasp looks like Sphecidae to me and the second is Ichnumonidae ... both Hymenoptera but not closely related. If you add more photos it might help - different angles are important but IDs of ichneumonids is usually very hard from photos ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

The first one looks like Mellinus arvensis (Crabronidae), with somewhat reduced yellow markings when compared the the norm.
