Polietes lardarius
crex
From midwest Sweden 2006-10-12. Well, it could be Tachinidae, Sarcophagidae or Muscidae sp, but the wing venation looks a bit like the one on Phaonia so maybe Muscidae!? She(?) is sitting on an apple.

Edit: Changed subject (Muscidae sp?)

Hi Crex,
vein M1+2 stright, so it excludes Tachinidae, Sarcophagidae.
I think your fly was large (about 10mm), I think it is female of Polietes lardarius, Muscidae, typical autumn fly.
