fly with dotted abdomen -> Leucopis sp.

Hello,

this 3-4mm fly is from last april from a coastland in southeast siciliy. I can't even guess the family. What is it?

Thank you for your answers. Could it be Leucopis palumbi? This seems to be a rather frequent species in italy.

I think it would be difficult to identify Leucopis from a photo, but it might be worth reposting with a new title

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
