Conopidae: Literature about Abrachyglossum capitatum
Ectemnius
I have caught Abrachyglossum capitatum and am writing an article about the find. I'd like to have more than just the original description of Loewe and the key of Krober, but am unable to find any literature.
There surely must be more because recently it seems that the species has been moved to the genus Leopoldius. That is at least the case in Mark van Veens' online key.

Can anyone help me obtain more literature about this Conopid?

Thanks in advance,

Ectemnius

May be not so much, but do you have Tomasovic's publication on Belgium Conopidae (2000)? A.capitatum is discussed here briefly. He also, mentions the lack of references on this species. If you don't have it, you can send me an email.

Nice record by the way! What were the details like the date? In what habitat? I am searching for this species for a while :-) Only one record (and some obvious ones) is known (from 1998!) for Belgium!

Bye jonas

Thnx for the help Jonas!

The fly, a male, was caught at the edge of a swampy meadow on a flower of Angelica sylvestris. Before landing on the flower the specimen was slowly flying just above the Carex vegetation of the meadow.
The date of the find is July the 29th, 2011.

I noticed in Van Veen, 1984 that the species is known from Belgium.

Greets,

Ectemnius
