Cnodacophora sellata
Gerrit Oehm
Is this Cnodacophora sp?
And is it possible to determine the species?
(from northern Germany)

Quite a fuzzy image, but I'd suggest Calobata petronella.

sorry for the fuzzy picture
this one seems to be a little bit sharper...

Your first ID was correct, it is Cnodacophora sellata. There is only one pair of postsutural dc setae, C. petronella should have two pairs, but I could see not dc on the first image at all.

Perhaps submit this one for the Gallery?

I am going to submit this to the Gallery.
This is a male, right?
(because of the secual apparatus under the body)

It might be another species: See comment in the gallery https://diptera.i...to_id=8363
