Hello, This fly looks a bit like Jorge's Nemoraea pellucida in the gallery, but the color of the scutellum seems to be different. Picture was taken in July, near Heerlen (Kunderberg). Ben Edited by Ben Hamers on 21-05-2012 19:57 |

Hi Ben Looks like Thelaira nigripes. Males can be quite reddish, or predominantly black. theo Zeegers |

It's a highly/annoyingly variable genus  But with so few antero-dorsal bristles on the middle tibia it should be nigripes |
