From the same locality there is one more similar species: but black and two times smaller.

I have never noticed a stump vein at the bend in M in Phasiinae before. |

I think this should be Imitomyia. Three species are described from Africa. Liekele P.S. The stump vein at the bend in M occurs sometimes in specimens where it should not be (aberrations). |

Hi Nikita, You are correct with there being two species. I think the first is I. mochii and the second is I. nitida. They belong to Dexiinae, Dufouriini rather than Phasiinae so are related to Rondania and Microsoma Regards, Steve |

Nice work Steve - after I posted I started to have my doubts but that median-vien is so very phasiine I'll leave the afrotropics to you - it's in safe hands!
