snipe-type with sweeping forelegs

this fly was walking quickly about the leaves sweeping it's forelegs back and forth like windscreen wipers. On wooded farmland in south herts. Any suggestions most welcome

I believe the sweeping action is to sense food such as honeydew on the leaf surface. If I'm wrong about that, someone is sure to say! Wink

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
