* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL * date - 2007.03.10 * size - 8 mm (medium fly) * habitat - open land * substrate - . Caught this fly in the air with my hands. ![]() Bombylius major? it has a huge proboscis. must have missed this one when first posted, not major, most reminds me of male Bombylius cruciatus. However, my specimens are reather larger then yours and lack pale line on thorax/scutellum (but this might have been lost through ware) |
