A male Syrphus, impossible to say more... If there were tiny hairs on the eyes, it would be S. torvus. Hairless eyes are characteristic of S. ribesii and S. vitripennis, the males of them can only be discerned with the help of a microscope.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
