I found this Microdon in the outskirt of Szeged, S. Hungary, on 05. 05.2012. I think it is M. myrmicae for the red scutellum. (Microdon mutabilis does not occur in Hungary or in the countries around.) I'd appreciate a confirmatis of this ID, if it is possible. Thanks in advance! Henrik Edited by piros on 19-12-2012 17:49 |

This is either M. mutabilis or M. myrmicae. ID of adults is not possible. The fact that M. mutabilis is not yet known from Hungary is not a very reliable clue... |
