I believe that it is a Syrphus sp., maybe torvus or vitripennis, depends if the eyes are bare or not (torvus- with hair, vitripennis- bare) Best wishes, Amalia |

Yes, Syrphus it is. And, as Amalia explained, this female has hairs on the eyes, so that makes it Syrphus torvus! Greetings, Greetings, Gerard Pennards |
