My guess would be, Noctuidae, Catocalinae. The patterns you indicate could be mainly visible in UV light. |

That should have black dots on end of wings (Heliothis nubigera): http://www.leps.i...oNubig.htm Anyway I got tip it should be Helicoverpa armigera, Entered that and since I lost track a bit of things I belive this: http://agrozoo.ne...37988a2b9d is the exact catterpilar from which the upper coccon and adult followed. The date 04.10.2012 fits by my memory --> last autumn. The catterpilar was determined separately so I think Helicoverpa armigera might be right.
