 Larvae of Cecidomyiidae?

Eight months ago, I consult a question about the larvae of Diptera, which host is Castanopsis hystrix (http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=53960). Are you sure your larvae are Diptera? Larvae of gall forming Chalcidoidea are similar to Cecidomyiidae, differing in structure of head and prothorax and probably in arrangement of spiracles.

I am not sure these larvae are Diptera. But the structure of the gall induced by the two species in the same host plant is obvious different. |
